Fall πŸ‚ is here!

I send warm autumn wishes to you all. I hope you are staying healthy and safe during this continued pandemic.

I consider myself so fortunate - for good health, a busy company, great clients, and friends.

I do hope you are all well, and ready to read a bit about LinkedIn today.

LinkedIn Updates – September 2021

For Companies:

πŸ‘‰ The Teammates feature is going away. That's OK.

πŸ‘‰ LinkedIn is going to make it easier for companies to describe their remote, hybrid and return to work policies AS WELL AS vaccination requirements. They are rolling out new job posting filters.

For Salespeople: (Sales Navigator)

πŸ‘‰ Assess Account buyer interest ( for Enterprise Users), by leveraging a new "interest meter"

πŸ‘‰ Account Map Enhancements including more filtering by function,

πŸ‘‰ CRM - Powered Lead Recommendations, which is for Team and Enterprise users.

πŸ‘‰ Greater ability to share prospect lists with colleagues

πŸ‘‰ Users can refer their friends for a two month free trial now

Interesting for all:

πŸ‘‰ LinkedIn Stories will be disabled on or around September 30. LInkedIn says they are reimagining the video experience. We might expect to see more opportunities for short form video on our profiles in the future.

πŸ‘‰ LinkedIn is announcing a new and improved Zapier integration! You will be able to gather event participant data and automatically route it to CRM or other repositories. This sounds great for anyone doing LinkedIn events.

πŸ‘‰ Dark mode is finally rolling out. Soon. You will have the option.

πŸ‘‰Are you seeing the "starter topics" for posts yet?

πŸ‘‰Have you noticed that your post preference is now auto-selected based on your past choices. For me, this means I am posting to Twitter and LinkedIn at the same time, and it is even easier.

LinkedIn and Microsoft - Real News

πŸ—žLinkedIn recently kicked off their Creator Accelerator Program in the USA, with an investment of $25M. They are starting the program with a first cohort of 100 selected applicants. I do expect it to expand in 2022. Read more here: https://members.linkedin.com/creators?trk=creators...

πŸ—ž LinkedIn's new Learning Hub will be available soon.

πŸ—ž Linkedin Learning will be sponsoring Office Hours.

Extreme gratitude for the wonderful ♥️ reviews - check out these snippets:

FROM KINDLE CUSTOMER: "My employer ordered several copies of Sandra Long's 'LinkedIn For Personal Branding: The Ultimate Guide' book for all employees. This book is an A-Z on all things LinkedIn. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, there are gems to be found. Each chapter in the book focuses on one specific LinkedIn strategy.

This is a great book and if you are just starting out and know nothing to very little on how to navigate inside the LinkedIn world, how to build your contacts or how to put yourself forward in the best possible light this book will guide you step by step.By using the tools outlined in the book I feel more confident and have made big improvements with my LinkedIn account. I no longer feel intimidated and lost but am enjoying myself."

FROM GWEN: "This book is packed with useful tips on how to use LinkedIn. For example, there is practical advice on what to include in profile sections, what words and language to use, and how to engage with others to get more visibility."

FROM AMAZON CUSTOMER: "I haven't always been the best at updating my LinkedIn page because I didn't think it made much difference, especially since I'm already employed. But I've been reading this book and I've been learning how many tools are available for reaching out to new clients, creating brand awareness, and setting yourself up for success.

It's really well written and easy to follow and I've been (slowly) building up the elements on my profile and I've already seen engagement increase."

FROM RODION: "The book is easy to read. I found it extremely helpful with a lot of insights. 🧲 Great reading! Highly recommended for all LinkedIn users!"

Thank you Gwen, Rodion, and the two other unidentified readers. Every review is PRICELESS to me!
