End of Year Greetings

Happy Holidays to all. This very busy year is rapidly winding down and I am OK with that. I am looking forward to planning for an even better 2024. And how is your LinkedIn? Shall we get started with some updates?

LinkedIn Updates – December 2023

For Companies:

πŸ‘‰ Super exciting new FEATURED section for company pages. Look to see if your company has access. This is what you will see.

πŸ‘‰ Featured Customers. Now pages will be able to feature a few key customers on specific product pages. It could be excellent for those particular companies with products.

πŸ‘‰ Company page hashtags are going away evidently.

For Job Seekers

πŸ‘‰ Say goodbye to skills assessments. This is unfortunate for certain new workers who benefitted from this feature.

For Salespeople:

πŸ‘‰ Account IQ uses Artificial Intelligence to help sellers sell smarter

For Creators:

πŸ‘‰ Scheduling of a poll is now possible. I will be trying this.

πŸ‘‰ Create a template for newsletters.

πŸ‘‰ Look for improved newsletter analytics.

Interesting for all:

πŸ‘‰ Profile Verifications are expanding, and hopefully soon into Europe and UK

πŸ‘‰ Featured section improvements! Look for the ability to feature certain parts of your profile including recommendations, certifications, experience, and courses. I am being told this upgrade is available for premium users.

πŸ‘‰Personalized invitations to connect are now being limited to 10 per month unless you have a premium account. Here is my post about this bad news

πŸ‘‰ Adding to the bad news, LinkedIn and Twitter have broken up. I can no longer post to both simultaneously.

πŸ‘‰ Look at the "birthday" tab under Celebrations and now see how long you have been connected. Possibly a nice touch.

New Book Coming

I have a new book coming out and want to know if you want to be part of my book team. I mentioned this to you in October. The book is about LinkedIn profiles and will have the latest and greatest information for you. It is designed to be a shorter "tip book" versus my longer books called LinkedIn for Personal Branding and of course Supercharge.

Would someone want to read both or all three? Yes, because things change. Also, I have some newer tips and ideas that are only in the latest book.

The new book is really ALL about profiles whereas my branding book covers profiles, networking, and lots of chapters about content. So yes I think you need to read both (or all). I know you want to learn it all.

This new book is also a great gift for that person on your list who needs to learn about LinkedIn profiles but doesn't want to read a 240-page book. ( Students.....and many other readers might be like this.)

If you are on my book team, you will get early access to the PDF version and an invitation to a private pre-launch profile webinar and QA. In addition, I am setting up a profile resource toolkit for these special readers. Great timing to get you set for the new year. In exchange, I plan to get some reviews and general buzz.

Click on this link to learn more and register for this special reader team.

And thanks to those who registered already in October. I hope to have the preview book ready for you to read in January or February.

Thank you. Happy Holidays and please.......Stay Safe and Healthy πŸ˜€

Sandra
