I hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer weather. Hopefully, you can take some time off and enjoy the season.
For me? I like the water, seeing family, boating, and taking walks to enjoy nature.
LinkedIn DOES seem to slow down just a bit in the summer, but we are still seeing feature updates. So here goes...
July Feature Updates
👉 Carousel posts improvements are happening, but I don't have this yet.
👉 The new "Repost" may become the default vs. the share button. You should still have two options, but repost more prominent.
👉 People are getting the new settings and privacy
👉 Look forward to adding hashtags and mentions in newsletters and articles
👉 Analyze your feed. Are you starting to see more hashtag content? This is happening
👉 LinkedIn announced an API and scheduling tools upgrade, giving better access to certain 3rd parties.
👉 LinkedIn seems to think you want to post into a group after a normal post. Resist this temptation!
👉 Once you get mentioned, LinkedIn may prompt you to reshare
👉 Sharing outside LinkedIn over to Twitter and Facebook just got easier. Check it out.
👉 For Companies: LinkedIn wants to entice you to boost more, so they will display the reach statistics you can expect.
👉 I heard that invitations might be moved to notifications? Hopefully not. I like to manage them in the My network section.
👉 For Creators - Audio events are now available for all. AND LinkedIn will now notify followers and connections of the speakers and host of your event. This is BIG. AND Looking forward to a new "Follow" button for creators to add anywhere. It should be evident in our panel, but I don't have it yet
👉 Can you comment on events yet? This seems to be very useful
👉 Have you been commenting as a page lately? It is now easier than ever. Just select the dropdown for the options.
